Battle of the Strikers: Both Mitrovic (left) and Darwin Nunez (right) were on the score sheet today
Aleksandar Mitrovic stole the show with an opening-day brace against Liverpool but the visitors came back from a goal down twice to leave Craven Cottage with a draw.
Fulham started the game looking sharp and were rewarded for their efforts just after 30 minutes, when a high cross was swung into Liverpool's box which Mitrovic's head sent flying goal wards at the back post.
An equaliser drew close for Liverpool, as Luis Diaz hit a rocket of a shot but was denied by the far-sided post.
Substitute Dawin Nunez had been on the pitch for little over 10 minutes before he grabbed a Premier League debut goal, creatively flicking an effort past Marek Rodak at close range.

For the first time since joining Liverpool, Virgil van Dijk has been dribbled past by an opponent AND conceded a penalty in a single Premier League game.

With less than 20 minutes to go, Mitrovic drew a foul in the box then won and converted his penalty just past the reach of Alisson to retake the lead.
Liverpool had another close range equaliser when Mo Salah dispatched a low shot in the middle of the six-yard box.
In the final minute, Jordan Henderson nearly snatched the win for the Reds but his first-time shot from outside the box cannoned off the cross bar.
