Arsenal salvaged a point with a last-gasp equaliser to deny Crystal Palace the chance to leapfrog them in the league table.
The home side started well with captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netting an early opening goal with a tidy finish.
James McArthur was perhaps lucky to escape a red card after hacking down Bukayo Saka after his attempt to double the lead.
Then just before the interval, Aaron Ramsdale produced a top save to deny Conor Callagher's volley.

Shortly after the restart, Palace levelled the score when Christian Benteke buried his shot in the bottom corner, after Thomas Partey was dispossessed deep in his own half.
Alexandre Lacazette had an effort pushed past the post by Vicente Guaita and barely a minute later, a swift counter attack by the visitors saw Odsonne Edouard's effort cannon off the bar to give the Eagles their first lead.
The Eagles were seconds away from winning but failed to clear the ball from a corner and with the last kick of the game, Lacazette fired home his first league goal of the season to spare Arsenal's blushes.
