Space: Man City increased the gap between them and their nearest title challengers with this win

Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez were both at the double to help Man City steamroll their local rivals in the Manchester derby as they regained momentum in the Premier league title race.

Man City didn't waste much time and took an early lead when De Bruyne raced on to Bernardo Silva's low driven cross back into the box and he slotted his effort swiftly past David De Gea.

United put together a swift counter-attack that led to Jadon Sancho cutting in from the wing, dancing past 2 defenders then curling a shot into the far bottom corner.

Several minutes later, City retook the lead when a goalmouth scramble eventually fell to the feet of De Bruyne who easily placed the ball into the goal from six yards out.

A long unorthodox corner cross by De Bruyne was struck sweetly by an unmarked Riyad Mahrez and deflected off Harry Maguire to nestle in the bottom corner.

Just before stoppage time, Riyad Mahrez wrapped up the win when he ran onto Ilkay Gundogan's smooth through-ball and unleashed a thunderbolt past De Gea from close range.
