Man United's win was their first at Old Trafford in three months
Cristiano Ronaldo scored a landmark 800th and 801st goal of his career as he decisively helped Man United edge past Arsenal in a thrilling game to climb up the league table.
The opener was quite controversial as Emile Smith-Rowe fired in a long-range missile while David De Gea was reeling in pain on the ground after colliding with team-mate, Fred.
Fred earned some redemption by creating Man United's equaliser minutes before half-time, as his skilful reverse pass was rifled in by Bruno Fernandes.
Another Portuguese maestro scored the next goal after the restart, Cristiano Ronaldo tapping in Marcus Rashford's pull-back to snatch the lead.

But the home side's lead didn't last long as they conceded only a couple minutes later. Gabriel Martinelli's low driven cross was hit first time by Martin Odegaard to level the score.Cristiano Ronaldo has now scored 12 goals in 16 appearances for Manchester United this season:

The Norwegian attacker then went from hero to zero as his reckless challenge on Fred gave away a penalty. Ronaldo placed his effort down the middle with expertise to put United back in front.
Man United managed to survive a flurry of late attacks by Arsenal to hold onto a crucial victory at Old Trafford.
