It was Crouch in the 1st minute of the game that managed to tap home from an Nzonzi cross in the first minute of the game; the quickest goal scored this season. Bojan, after a good run into the box tapped a good cross from Walters to make it 2-0 to the Stoke city. Then it was Walters, himself, who scored from close range with a half-volley, which was his 100th career goal and gave Stoke a superb lead just before Half-time.

Alexis Sanchez stole the ball from a lazy pass from Nzonzi and dribbled pass two defenders, rounded the goalkepper but miraculously hit the near post when expected to score. Soon, Begovic booted down a goal kick to Crouch, who headed into the path of Diouf then to Bojan who had a spectacular solo goal ruled out for Diouf who was wrongly ruled offside and obstructing the veiw of Arsenal's goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Flamini won a penalty which Carzola just about scored. A coupe more minutes later, a Sanchez corner found its way to unmarked Ramsey who volleyed a fantastic goal to reduce the deficit to one goal. Callum Chambers recieved a second yellow card late in the game and thus was sent off for Arsenal. The scoreline finished 3-2 to Stoke.
